Hello! My name is Rosario Murillo, a passionate artist and student currently pursuing my studies at the University of Notre Dame with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Latino Studies. I have honed my skills across various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, and photography. This diverse exploration allows me to express my creativity in multifaceted ways. Being born and raised Mexican-American has been a constant wellspring of inspiration for my artistic endeavors. I believe in the power of art to transcend language and connect people across diverse backgrounds. Through my creations, I aim to bridge cultural gaps, fostering a deeper understanding of the richness that diversity brings to the world.
My works have graced numerous exhibitions, both on Notre Dame's campus and beyond. Notably, I've had the honor of showcasing my art at the Missouri History Museum for their Dia de Muertos Exhibition, contributing to a broader dialogue on art and culture. One of my pieces has been published in the Celebrating Art Fall Edition, and I've been fortunate to receive awards for my contributions to the artistic community. As I continue my artistic journey, I aspire to further explore the intersection of my cultural roots and contemporary art, pushing the boundaries of expression and storytelling.
